rock the boat
Picture this. Your guests come on board and are given a tour of the yacht when they see a display with an iconic guitar with connections to your favourite band or artist. What a show-stopper! So you might be a fan of AC/DC and there is a display with a Gibson SG the same as Angus Young uses along with support images. Or perhaps a Gibson EDS 1275 double neck as played by Jimmy Page in Led Zep… perhaps a nice Gibson J-200 acoustic known as ‘the Elvis guitar’. You get the picture. With over 50 years collecting iconic vintage guitars, Roy Roberts and one of the Owen Fine Art partners have over 100 guitars in their collections and a network of dealer/collectors who can assist in finding that special guitar, even actual ones owned by the artists themselves… perhaps even a signed one! Also available are the iconic Amplifiers from Vox, Marshall (JMP 100), the Fender Dual Showman… or a colourful Orange!

1963 Gibson ES 330, VOX AC 30 and a Klempt Echolette S.
A Beatles mix. The VOX AC 30, a classic Gibson (think Epiphone Casino) and the ‘gold box’ echo units of the Star Club, Hamburg!

1975 Gibson SG
The Gibson SG, famously played by Angus Young of AC/DC and many others including Eric Clapton and Pete Townshend.
1962 (1990 reissue) Fender Stratocaster, VOX AC 30 and a MEAZZI Echomatic (‘the Apache combo’)
Hank, plus a red Strat, a VOX plus a Meazzi tape echo and you have ‘APACHE’…and launched a million guitar players!

1972 Fender Telecasters
Leo Fender’s first guitar is a workhorse of the stars (you choose). Think Bruce Springsteen, Keith Richard et al.

This rare Gibson is an accurate re-issue of an original release 1938 Gibson J-200 and is a 1994 Gibson ‘100th Anniversary model’
Only 100 were produced. It is often referred to as the ‘Elvis’ guitar.
Elvis was seen playing this iconic guitar but many current stars use them today such as Pete Townshend and even Cliff Richard!

1985 Gibson Les Paul Custom
The Les Paul has been in the hands of so many famous guitarists to list. This LP Custom is very similar to the one played by Neil Young (his ‘Old Black’)
1977 Gibson L-5 CESN ‘Customer Special Order’
This hand carved beauty is the dream jazz guitar and probably in the collection of most famous players. The L-5 can be heard on all Wes Montgommery’s famous albums.

1989 Gibson ES 175D Custom Colour
The Gibson ES 175 was the go-to ‘jazz box’ in the ’50’s but a solid modern guitar in the hands of Steve Howe of Yes and many more.

1980 Gretsch 7576 Country Club
Think Duane Eddy (RIP), Eddie Cochran to Chet Atkins and all the Rockabilly stars! The Gretsch brand is such an iconic statement.

1964 Rickenbacker Rose Morris ‘1998’ model.
The Pete Townshend Rickenbacker (he had 20 to break!). In its 12 string variant, think of the Byrds and George Harrison!
1980 Tokai Rickenbacker model 325. The ‘John Lennon’ model
John Lennon’s short scale 325 model is as iconic as Paul’s Hofner bass.

The Fender Jaguar
Launched in 1962, following the success of the Fender Stratocaster, this new model followed its ‘Jazzmaster’ sibling which was introduced in 1958. The ‘Offset Waist’ design became the trademark style and sound of ‘Surf Music’ with the Beach Boys but now they are seen in the hands of Elvis Costello and Johnny Marr and was the go-to guitar style for Kurt Cobain.
